1920's brassiere

This is a side (fan) lacing and front fastening (buttons) bra top based on the 1920's side lacing brassieres. Fan-lacing is used at the side to pull the brassiere to size. Note that this is not a supportive bra and if made small in the bust, could be used to flatten the bust in true flapper style! This is a small-cupped design and is not appropriate for cup sizes larger than a D (approximately). Adjust the bust seam for contouring at the toile stage (the pattern indicates a C maximum but with very slight adjustment a D is achievable).

This pattern is available as an instant download - you will need to print out on size letter (A) or A4 paper making sure actual size and centre the print is ticked in your print dialogue box. It is recommended that you make a toile to check the fit of the pattern and use the side seam and bust seam to tweak the fit.
